The Peter P. Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics at UBC Sauder is pleased to host a talk about “Serving on a Non-Profit Board” on April 7th, 2021 at 4:00-4:45pm.
All non-profit organizations have boards of directors that have the vital role of overseeing management and operations. Serving on a non-profit board is an important form of volunteerism or “knowledge philanthropy”. Learn about what non-profit board directors do and how to get on a board from Christie Stephenson, the Executive Director of the Dhillon Centre at UBC Sauder.
Christie has more than two decades of diverse board experience, having served as a director of cooperatives, private companies, and more than a dozen non-profit organizations. She currently serves on the boards of the UBC Staff Pension Plan and Vancity financial cooperative and is a climate governance expert with the Canadian Climate Law Initiative.
