Tamar teaches a wide variety of marketing and responsible business courses in UBC Sauder’s BCom, B+MM, and MBA programs. With a focus on applied and experiential learning, Tamar draws on her two decades of diverse industry experience in marketing, sales, crisis management, and sustainability to bring her lessons to life. She believes in business as a force for good and proudly served as Chair of UBC Sauder’s Sustainability & Ethics Group. Tamar has been recognized with a number of innovation and teaching awards, including the Sauder Alumni Talking Stick Award.

Richard is a sessional lecturer of accounting and tax at the UBC Sauder School of Business. As an instructor, Richard consistently seeks new ways to deliver content and engage students in a meaningful way. Getting students excited about tax planning at 8:30 a.m. is a challenge he does not take lightly and his teaching style maximizes opportunities for students to practice, learn, and grow. Richard is passionate about teaching and won the 2021 Len Henriksson Award for building an engaging and dynamic learning environment, both inside and outside the classroom.

Jeff Kroeker is a faculty member teaching a variety of management accounting courses at Sauder in the BCOM and MBA program. He brings a highly interactive teaching style to the classroom which includes the use of role playing to bring course content into a simulation environment where application of the concepts is the primary goal. He is the Director of UBC Sauder LIFT a unique program that delivers fundamental business skills training to emerging entrepreneurs in Kenya with Sauder students as the teachers and mentors.

Dr. Rebecca Paluch, Assistant Professor
Dr. Rebecca Paluch is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources in the Sauder School of Business. Prior to joining UBC, Dr. Paluch received her PhD from Cornell University where she researched Human Resource Management topics. Her research examines how the changing work environment is impacting employment relationships between organizations and their employees. This includes research on the effectiveness of organizational diversity and inclusion practices as well as HR practices that support former employees, also known as corporate alumni. Her research has been recognized with awards from organizations such as the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and the Academy of Management (AOM). In addition to conducting research, Dr. Paluch teaches courses on Diversity and Inclusion in Organizations and Human Resource Management to undergraduates and MBAs in the Sauder School of Business.

Elicia is a lecturer at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where she currently teaches Commercial Law, Real Estate Law and New Venture Development. Elicia comes to academia from private practice, where she was a tech lawyer at national firms specializing in mergers & acquisitions and private equity. In practice, she leveraged her business acumen, grounded in her Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC Sauder, to deliver strategic and uniquely valuable advice. Coming back to UBC Sauder, Elicia found herself with an incredible platform and opportunity to focus on sharing and fostering business acumen and perspective with students; it makes walking into the classroom each day a decidedly exciting privilege.
